OUR COMPANY – What we do

Ribbon Commander was created by Excel developers with international work experience in an effort to push the boundary of what can be achieved with Microsoft Office. Our goal is to help Microsoft users become more productive.

Our innovative Ribbon Commander framework aims to simplify and extend Microsoft's modern UI interface: the Ribbon. Users can learn usable Office applications faster and rely less on support.

Our Ribbon Commander Browser offers uncomplicated access to a large number of essential Office desktop Add-ins. The ease with which these mostly free Add-ins can be updated and managed is unprecedented.

Ribbon Commander is supported by ILYDA S.A., a leading software house in Greece established more than 20 years ago, with significant expertise in Microsoft technologies.

MANAGEMENT TEAM – Who we are

Petros Chatzipantazis, MBA
Managing director, ILYDA (UK) Ltd

Petros Chatzipantazis started using spreadsheets during high school on the legendary Acorn BBC model B computer in 1983. Later, he studied Economics in Greece and obtained an MBA degree from Yale University, USA. Petros is Microsoft certified Excel 2007 specialist, Spreadsheet-Safe certified, has a CIMA certificate in business accounting and has worked for several years as an MS-Office VBA developer in United Kingdom.

Petros is a member of the practitioners board at the Council for Ubiquitous Intelligence (CUbInt), Emory Goizueta Business School and runs www.spreadsheet1.com to help Excel users improve their spreadsheet skills and advance their careers.

Vasilis Anyfantakis
CEO, ILYDA S.A.

Vasilis Anyfantakis graduated from the Mathematical School of the University of Crete and holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science (M.Sc. in Computer Science, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, USA), in the field of Software Engineering. His M.Sc. Thesis was conducted in the field of Databases (RDBMS) and in Intelligent Data Management. He is a member of EPY (Greek Company of Scientists and Professionals in Computer Science and Communications).

He is a scholar of the foundation A. Onassis and was awarded with scholarships for all the years of his undergraduate and postgraduate studies.

He is a founding member and president of ILYDA S.A. (a listed company in the Greek Stock Exchange Market), and has been responsible for the software development since its foundation. He was also a founding member and shareholder of the companies Unitel Hellas S.A. (Satellite Communications) and Dioscourides S.A. (Software for handling Pharmaceutical Products).
